Céline Bouquin

Bouquin, Céline

Humanitarian aid specialist

After completing her studies in business management, Céline Bouquin started her professional path in 2001 by a short immersion in the industry. Her first six months of employment for a multinational corporation were enough to make her change her mind and lead her towards a radical change.

After spending a few months in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) where she provided help for orphans and street children, she decided to make a living from international solidarity. In 2004, she went back to university in Paris and completed a Master degree in humanitarian aid and NGO development.

She then specialised herself in humanitarian aid emergency in countries experiencing conflicts. She first got deployed as a project manager/coordinator and then as a country delegate to several places including Darfur (Sudan), Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Central African Republic.

Between 2007 and 2011, she distanced herself from high crisis interventions to come to Montreal where she coordinated a Guatemalan human rights organization. In 2014, she was part of one last emergency mission in Lebanon. She now lives in Montreal, Canada, and works for an organization advocating and promoting the protection of the children’s right in the world.
