Marie-Ève Rancourt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Montreal. She graduated from HEC Montreal where she completed a Master’s of science in the modelling and decision support profile and also is a PhD graduate in quantitative methods.

As part of her PhD (scholarship holder for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and for the Fonds de recherché du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT)), she completed a research internship in the Humanitarian Response Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) allowing her to specialise in humanitarian logistics. Throughout her doctoral studies, she collaborated with organisations such as the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Red Cross with the aim of developing analytical methods for the planning and distribution of foodstuffs in Eastern Africa. Marie-Ève is also a researcher affiliated with the MIT and the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT).

Since August 2012, Marie-Ève is also a professor with the management and technology department at the École des Sciences de la Gestion (ESG) of The University du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). Her line of research focuses on improving the management of transport operations and the design of logistical networks for humanitarian organisations as well as commercial companies. Her methodological fields of expertise are the operational research and the econometrics for the analysis and the resolution of complex systems in the supply chain.
